Tucson Citizen is 'day to day'

Newspaper company Gannett has delayed the planned closure of the Tucson Citizen while it negotiates with two potential buyers for the paper.

Citizen interim Editor Jennifer Boice told staff this week that those negotiations will not be over by the March 21 date that Gannett had set to close the paper if no buyer had emerged.

A final commemorative issue that the Citizen was to have published Saturday will be delayed, Boice said.
