Officials made the announcement on Monday morning at the Capitol with Gov. Bill Ritter and Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper.
“We’re diversifying our energy portfolio here. We’re addressing climate change and we’re improving our energy security but at the same time, we’re creating economic opportunities,” Ritter said.
The plant will be located in Enterprise Park at Havana and Smith Road in northeast Denver. It is the company’s first plant outside of Germany and will have the capacity to expand to 700 workers.
