Rocketship Education: A new financial model for charters?

Rocketship Education is a national non-profit elementary charter school network, founded in 2006 and based in San Jose, Calif. Co-founder John Danner, a veteran of the Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP) network, decided after his KIPP experience that there had to be be a way to run charter schools for low-income students that closed the achievement gap without burning out teachers and principals.

Danner was in Denver last week to speak at a luncheon sponsored by the Donnell-Kay Foundation and the Piton Foundation.

Here are three videos that capture the highlights of his talk.
