Skull and bone fragments found in northwestern Saratoga County, N.Y., have been linked to a missing 18-year-old originally from Littleton. (7 News)

Police say the fragments, found by a hunter in a remote area of the Lake Desolation State Forest, included a skull with parts of a lower jaw and a few teeth, as well as pieces of bone.

District Attorney James Murphy announced Thursday afternoon that the remains have been identified as 18-year-old Jennifer Marie Hammond.
