Predators beat Avs in OT for seventh win in a row

Trotz called his timeout after Colorado scored three unanswered goals in the second period — and the strategy worked perfectly. Shea Weber tied the game before the period ended, and David Legwand’s goal 3:07 into OT gave the Predators a 4-3 win over the Avalanche, extending their winning streak to seven games.
The streak was in jeopardy when Nashville blew a 2-0 lead, but the timeout allowed the players to regroup.
“We just stopped skating when we had the lead,” Trotz said.
