One for Fun: Fireworks

Another one for fun cartoon. I might tackle the tennis marathon in the next day or so but today it’s all about the Fireworks. I did this one for this weeks North Metro Newspapers.
I love the smell of napalm in the morning. Actually nothing could be further from the truth. I really can’t stand this time of year when the blasting starts and the air stinks and it all continues for weeks on end. Oh I’m good with stadium displays and ones held at big venues. But not in the ones down the street, right next door. Fireworks are for July 4th. One day. That’s the limit.
Agree? Disagree? Lemme know.

Just got back from Deetroit City. They had their big extravaganza over the Detroit River on Sunday night – 2 weeks before the 4th of July. Seems a bit off to me also. Maybe they are not celebrating Independence Day?
Agree!!! I have never seen the sense of creating noise pollution and air pollution and spending public dollars, in many cases, do to so. Think how much good those dollars could do in other places. How many meals could they buy for the hungry? How many playgrounds could they build? It is like taking a stack of cash and setting it on fire.
My point was the fireworks ought to be special and reserved for the 4th of July. And I would much rather spend it that day on fireworks than those other liberal bottomless hopless pits of pitiful ObamaCrap.
Light the fire.
May Gene’s karma bring him back one day to experience whatever it takes for him to learn compassion.
If Detroit took the pile of cash it cost (actually Target paid for it) for the fireworks,
and spent it on the liberal bottomless hopless pits of pitiful ObamaCrap that is Detroit,
the city would not look any different. They have been doing that for 60 years,
and look at the city. It is a liberal bottomless hopless pits of pitiful ObamaCrap – and dangerous.
My point was they shot their wad early.
May you both feel good about yourselves and playgrounds. I doubt we have a shortage of playgrounds. We have bigger problems. That stack of cash – we don’t have it anymore. Obama spent it on crap.
We have a shortage of appreciation for the 4th of July and freedom and liberty. May you someday appreciate that.
I apologize for my hapless spelling of hopeless.
