Metro State picks Golich as provost, VP of academic affairs

Vicki Golich has been appointed provost and VP for academic affairs at Metropolitan State College of Denver.

Metro State President Stephen Jordan announced the appointment Wednesday, effective Sept. 1. It is subject to approval by the college’s board of trustees.

Golich currently is dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at California State University-San Marcos and a professor of political science there.

At Metro State, she will be chief academic officer, responsible for curriculum, assessment, budget, faculty recruitment, hiring and evaluation policies.

Her starting salary will be $195,000.
