Girls softball game erupts in brawl
Two people were taken to the hospital after a brawl at a high school girls club softball game Monday night.
A player was hit with a pitch at the game held at the Four Diamond Sports Complex off of North Nevada Avenue and "words were exchanged," said Colorado Springs Police Sgt. Lance Lazoff.
Lazoff said there is "bad blood" between the Cheyenne Mountain and Wasson High School club teams, which are not officially associated with the schools but made up of mostly varsity players from the high school teams, according to The Gazette.
The fight spilled into the parking lot, where as many as 30 people were involved.
Two adults and two minors were arrested in the incident, said Officer Brain Uebelhoer.
