Worked for this company for 15 1/2 years. Was bar none the best auto group in Colorado from the time I joined them until Lloyd turned over operations to his idiot son. His "hunkering down" was basically cutting out all the top talented people, from top management down to even the lot kids, he had working for him and replacing them with 2nd and 3rd stringers who "cost him less". Now look what it cost him!! Its a real shame, that was a great organization for a long long time.........but it couldnt have happened to a bigger idiot. He chased away all of his top managers that are now running other dealerships that are surviving in this economy. Burt was one of the best auto dealer groups around in their. Another example of a company that made money for years inspite of it's ownership. However, this time, the only hope for a "sale" is that perhaps the banks haven't attached the dealerships Mr. Gillett wants to buy. Maybe those Parker Road stores need to put up the "Going out of Business" signs before somebody comes to get the front door keys.
