Gale Norton focus of corruption probe involving oil-shale lease, Shell

The criminal investigation centers on the Interior Department’s 2006 decision to award three lucrative oil shale leases on federal land in Colorado to a Shell subsidiary. Over the years it would take to extract the oil, according to calculations from Shell and a Rand Corp. expert, the deal could net the company hundreds of billions of dollars.
The investigation’s main focus is whether Norton, a former Colorado attorney general, violated a law that prohibits federal employees from discussing employment with a company if they are involved in dealings with the government that could benefit the firm, law enforcement and Interior officials said.

Regarding your comment about O. and a clean gov’t – I assume you are poking at me. Reading your medias, you may not have heard about ACORN. In case you forgot, O. is ObamaCorn, ie. short for ACORN. They are the same. Now ACORN has been exposed, not by the crack legal department of Eric Holder, but by others outside of ObamaCorn. people are just upset that obama is snifing these people out and as soon as he finds out the mistakes he takes care of it. even if obama was friends with them when they show themself with bad mistakes he comes down on them as you can see he did with the acorn nuts. just wish other presidents and there right hand men with media places would have done the same. but no-they looked other ways when those people were caught with there hands in the jar of cookys.
