Fort Lupton Press: Train runs over man’s body on railroad tracks

KEENESBURG – The man whose body was on railroad tracks two miles east of here Thursday may be a missing person from Denver.

That word came from Weld County Undersheriff Margie Martinez. The man’s body was on the tracks when it was hit by a westbound Burlington Northern freight train about 10 a.m. The incident happened near Interstate 76 and Weld County Road 49.

The victim’s name hasn’t been released because his relatives haven’t been notified. Martinez said there was no reason for the man to be on the tracks.
