Fort Collins newspaper lays off nine
The Fort Collins Coloradoan laid off nine workers Thursday, the second round of layoffs this year.
Cuts came in all aspects of the newspaper’s operation.
In May, the Coloradoan moved its printing and distribution of the newspaper and USA Today from Fort Collins to the Denver Newspaper Agency, eliminating 42 jobs.
The Coloradoan is owned by Gannett Co. Inc.
With Thursday’s layoffs, the Coloradoan has 115 employees, or about half the work force it had at the beginning of 2007.
