Ex-Rocky business editor to address Metro State grads

For the ninth consecutive year, the spring graduating class for Metropolitan State College of Denver is expected to be the largest ever, with more than 1,400 candidates.

Commencement will be at 2 p.m. May 17 at the Colorado Convention Center. Rob Reuteman, former Rocky Mountain News business editor and columnist, will deliver the commencement address.

Under Reuteman’s editorship, the paper’s business section won the Best in Business award for Overall Excellence for large newspapers from the Society of American Business Editors and Writers four times in 11 years, most recently for 2008. He currently serves as vice president of SABEW.
