President Obama is expected to announce Tuesday night that he will be sending additional tens of thousands of troops to Afghanistan. If he buys into this conflict, like it or not, it will cease to be George W. Bush’s failure; it will become Obama’s war. Granted, the current occupant of the Oval Office was left with a seemingly impossible choice: abandon Afghanistan to the Taliban and risk it becoming an al-Qaida sanctuary once more, or hope that additional troops and a new strategy will stabilize a barely governed country that appears to be hopelessly mired in sectarian violence and corruption. It appears that he chose the latter. Keep your fingers crossed.

Most now realize we were officially screwed the minute we elected this s o c i a l i s t clown. My own opinion. In the real world, you cannot expect such a seriously flawed candidate to be any less a president once he is elected. E.g., a candidate in the past once campaigned on the theme of a ‘shining city on a hill’ and love of country and exceptionalism and power through strength – and he was elected and he governed exactly as he promised and he was a great president – and the country went through the longest economic peacetime expansion – all of which is the diametric opposite of this small minded s o c i a l i s t clown we now have as president.
We were officially screwed the minute we set foot in there. We just didn’t have a choice. The only hope is to keep enough troops in there long enough for a generation of Afghani children (boys AND girls) to get enough of a real education to disenfranchise the Madrassas. Dozens of global non-profits, many of them American, are educating tens of thousands of children.
About fifteen years ago, I started saying that the best hope for an Israeli/Palestinian solution was to feed & educate the Palestine children, and wait ten years. Well, that’s exactly what Hamas did, and you see the result. In Afghanistan, we have a hope, albeit a slim one, of doing it right.
i bet you only oppose socialism because you have no idea what it is. sure now in your moms basment your going to go look it up and act like you knew in the first place. but really gene, please stop pretending like you understand big boy stuff, your out of your league. if you knew what socialism was, you would know you sound completely ignorent calling the president a socialist clown.

How can you not see that obama is fixing bush cheny problems. And he is bringing the hope and change. Sure as snuff that obama is best for the common man. He IS doign all he can. EspeciallY since he is fixing bush mistakes. Even his said plan for the peace is good. Some men are just mad because they did not vote for Obama. Probably because they do not want hope and change. So many medias are making obama look bad. Continueally telling us how it is obamas war. Like they have forgot that obam is fixing the problem. Unless cheny gets more troops of halibertin to go to war it will be fixed real quick. Even ed has gotten to believe the cheny media. Look at how he says it is obamas now. Easy to see how the sly money man is still to blame. Since there is ot other reason for the bad news we know it is bushs problems. Cant you see that obama is doing the good thing. Look at how we finaly have a president that is for victory. Unless you are in the right winged media and they did not show obamas victory plan. Even the usa army men liked the plan. Listen to all the approvals for the plan for the army men. Evem the number sshow that what is a good car warranty is a good army plan- 30,000 troops and 3 years jut like a gm warranty 30,000 miles and 3 years. Shows you that obama could run many things with close plans to each other. Some days you will see how much obamas plan will work.

Really, every line of his speech made me throw up.
Even sending troops, which I have no problem with, made me toss the way he did it.
A generous person may conclude he is ‘clueless.’ Seems to me he is really trying to screw the country.
Obama is clueless understanding this country. Nobody, except maybe our enemies, could like that speech.

I find it funny how Geneo is complaining about how Obama is dragging the country down when the man she worships (our previous president) spent well into the trillions of our money.
I am glad we’re support more troops out there. I have a few friends out there and they’re begging for help every day. They really need either all the help or to get out. Now we’re doing both!

This is a plan of genius of obama. He asked the countrys of europe to help us. Europe countrys will help with 10000 men. You have to appreciate the genius of obama to ask for that help.
