Drew Litton: The Broncos Ground Game

9newsbronx09.27.09

Smashmouth.
That would best describe the current edition of the Broncos so far. Textbook, hard hitting football. Granted, the teams they have played so far aren’t world beaters, but so far you’ve got to like what you see. This idea came to me while staring out the studio window and watching various neighbors aerating their lawns. I had a more graphic version but toned it down a bit. I don’t want to gross people out during breakfast.

Feel free to leave your comments. And how about those Rockies?

Drew great visual…..so is McDaniels winning you over? Imagine defense in Denver, tackling, blitzing and turnovers. I love it. Getting better on offense too. In preseason everyone said, too many turnovers and where is the running game. We sure have changed that around.

Drew, I like the way you work and think. One question. You obviously draw the cartoon image by hand. Then, scan the line work, and add color by computer? The boarder line is askew, on purpose? Or by scanning process? At any rate, McDaniels is winning ME over. He had me worried this week in practice when he wore the hooded sweatshirt again. Then, by game time, it was back to his new winning-wear, the Broncos Player-Coach outfit, and Bingo we win again. I tell you, it is his Broncos’ jersey that wins.

Drew Drew Drew, I thought in your discussion of your cartoon “What a Blast” you said you wanted off the Denver Broncos train? Not sure there is room for you now? How about a cartoon about you and all the other panicky reporters and “fans” eating some crow? That would help you get your seat back on the Broncos 2009 train. Next stop, Arlington, TX.
