Deportation of alleged Nazi war criminal halted
An alleged Nazi war criminal living in the U.S. has been granted an emergency stay from being deported, CNN reports.
The announcement came within hours after John Demjanjuk, 89, had been taken into custody by immigration officials at his Ohio home. Demjanjuk is wanted by German authorities for his alleged role in killings at Sobibor, a Nazi death camp in Poland, during World War II.
