Denver Police seek same suspect in two attacks on women
Denver Police are seeking the public’s help in finding the suspect in two separate incidents in which a man attempted to force a woman into his car.
The suspect in both cases is described as a Hispanic male about 6 feet, 1 inch tall, weighing about 200 pounds, with long black hair worn in a ponytail. In the first case, the suspect may have had a thin beard and a small patch of hair under his bottom lip. In both cases, the suspect was described as having a Spanish or Italian accent.
Police said the suspect approached a woman walking in the 3000 block of West Walsh Place about 11 p.m. Tuesday, after driving past her in a maroon Cadillac. The woman told police she became afraid and armed herself with a knife she had in her purse. She said the suspect grabbed her and attempted to drag her to his vehicle, but she stabbed him in the neck or upper chest and escaped.
About 12:40 a.m. Wednesday, a different woman was attacked in the 700 block of South Raleigh Street, police said. She told police she was struck in the back of the head and knocked to the ground but fended off her attacker with kicks and got away.
Anyone with information is requested to contact Denver Police at 720-913-2000 or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP (7867).
