Denver homeownership fair Saturday offers tips on buying, keeping a home

It can exciting – and sometimes stressful – to buy your first home. And many Denver residents are struggling to make their house payments, in delinquency with their mortgage company or facing foreclosure.

June is National Home Ownership Month. In order to help homeowners and those who want to become homeowners, the Denver Housing Authority is hosting a homeownership fair Saturday.

The fair will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the PPA center, 2105 Decatur St. in Denver.

The best part is it’s free. DHA will have finance and real estate professionals on hand, as well as housing and foreclosure counselors, to give instruction not only in how to buy a home but also in how to hold on to the one you’ve got.
