Chipotle installing solar panels in 75 restaurants, including Denver’s

Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. said Tuesday it has reached a deal with Standard Renewable Energy to install solar panels on 75 of Chipotle’s restaurants. (Denver Business Journal)

Panel installations are under way in Denver as well as in Dallas, San Antonio and Austin, Texas, said Denver-based Chipotle. The company is choosing cites for the program on the basis of a restaurant’s electricity consumption, local utility solar rebates and access to direct sunlight.
