CDOT: C-470 repair work this weekend between I-25 and Santa Fe Drive 
Concrete repairs on C-470 between I-25 and Santa Fe Drive will once again take place this weekend, weather permitting. This weekend, crews will work from 8 p.m. on Friday, March 12th to 5 a.m. on Monday, March 15th, weather permitting. During this time, the following closures will be in place on C-470 and major delays are expected:
• Eastbound C-470 between University Boulevard and Yosemite: One lane of eastbound C-470 will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Major delays are expected and alternate routes are strongly advised.
• Eastbound C-470 to Quebec Street: The ramp from eastbound C-470 to Quebec Street will be completely closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Detour: Motorists can take Yosemite Street to Park Meadows Drive or University Boulevard to County Line Road.
• Quebec Street to Eastbound C-470: The ramp from Quebec Street to eastbound C-470 will be completely closed from 8 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Detour: Motorists can take County Line Road to either Yosemite Street or I-25.
Flatiron Construction low bidder to repair rockslide damage in Glenwood Canyon 
Flatiron Construction is the apparent low bidder for repairs to the Interstate 70 viaduct in Glenwood Canyon, which was heavily damaged in the Monday rockslide, the Colorado Department of Transportation announced. The contract is for $860,417, with Flatiron committing to completion in 55 days.
FasTracks Northwest Rail could get early start, trains to Westminster 
The FasTracks Northwest Rail corridor could get a head start under a plan that would build its first six and a half miles, between Denver Union Station and south Westminster at 72nd and Lowell Boulevard, as part of the construction of lines to the airport and Arvada. That will give RTD the capability of initiating rail transit service to southwest Adams County and Westminster sooner rather than later.
CDOT: I-70 will reopen in Glenwood Canyon by day’s end 
The Colorado Department of Transportation says it will reopen two lanes of Interstate 70 through the damaged rockslide area in Glenwood Canyon by the end of the day Thursday after geologists blasted down a huge boulder and surrounding rock that threatened to fall onto the highway.
Woman killed when boulder hits car near Mount Harris this morning
Steamboat Springs — A 55-year-old Craig woman was killed early this morning on U.S. Highway 40 between Hayden and Steamboat Springs when a boulder fell onto the roof of the vehicle she was riding in.

RTD: Phil Washington gets $306,449 contract as head of transit agency 
The Regional Transportation District Board of Directors unanimously approved a three-year contract for new RTD General Manager Phil Washington, who was unanimously chosen by the Board in December. Washington’s total annual compensation is $306,449, which includes a base salary of $275,000 plus the normal fringe benefits that are regularly paid to all RTD salaried employees.
Dirt is moving in Hampden rebuild, three bridge replacements 
The dirt is starting to move in the $40.1 million design-build reconstruction of four miles along Hampden Avenue, starting at the east end of the corridor with replacement of the bridge over Federal Boulevard.
