DBJ: HealthGrades rates 5 Colorado hospitals tops

Medical-ratings service HealthGrades Inc. named five Colorado hospitals to its 2010 “Distinguished Hospital for Clinical Excellence Award” list Tuesday.
The recognition goes to 269 hospitals nationwide that Golden-based HealthGrades (NASDAQ: HGRD) says scored in the top 5 percent for “risk-adjusted mortality and complication rates,” based on federal records for Medicare patients.
