Book review: ‘Batman: Inferno’
The plot in this book also offers a new villain that I hadn’t before encountered in Batman mythos.
Comic double review: G.I. JOE — ‘Above & Beyond,’ ‘The Rise of Cobra’ offer smart and complete storytelling
In Above & Beyond we learn how Duke and Ripcord met, became pals and then came to the attention of G.I.JOE. We also learn the true origins of Cobra’s leaders which adds tremendously to the pay-off reveal at the end of The Rise of Cobra.
Comic review: ‘Solomon Kane’ a compelling graphic novel
The Castle of the Devil is a wonderful reading experience for those fantasy lovers who want a trip on the dark side, and for those comics readers that want more meat and potatoes with their stories. Solomon Kane is a great hero that you’ll probably always hold at arms length, but he’s wonderful to watch in action.
Book review: ‘Wolverine 1′ features a rebellious teen Wolverine in Japan
Wolverine fans that like their hero pure and unadulterated should probably stay away from this “mangafied” version of the character. However, people interested in seeing how Wolverine might have fared had he been brought up steeped in Japanese culture could have a new venue for watching their hero in action as a rebellious (can you believe it?) teen.
Comic book review: New Batman arises with Bruce Wayne stuck in the past
Over the years, there have been a lot of changes for Batman and Robin, probably one of the most-celebrated partnerships of all fictional heroes.
Comic book review: Women take over in world without Bruce Wayne
Detective Comics No. 854 shifts its focus from Batman to two different crime-busting ladies who favor masks and martial arts. This world without Bruce Wayne as Batman promises more and more interesting things as it spins along.
