Avs keep rolling with 3-0 victory over Oilers

The NHL season has been under way for nearly a month, and the Colorado Avalanche is showing no signs of slowing down. (NHL.com)

With Tuesday’s 3-0 win against the host Edmonton Oilers, Joe Sacco’s club now has the most points in the League (20). While some who live outside the Denver area might be surprised by the 9-1-2 start, the players in the Avs’ locker room certainly are not.

At least not anymore.

“We don’t really care about that perception,” Sacco said when asked if he believes teams around the NHL feel the Avs are for real. “I do think that teams are starting to realize that when you play us, you know you have to be ready. We just try to take care of our own business.”
