How many times have you been in this situation. You are sitting on the couch, you have access to your 26,000 song library on your iPod, but you can’t for the life of you decide what to play at that particular moment.  It’s likely you’re in a mood, but you just can’t find the right song.

Enter Stereomood.com, a new website with mood tags.  Just find your mood among the fifty or so listed on the home page, and music matching your mood starts to play.

We gave it a try. “Energetic” gave us Given to Fly by Pearl Jam, and “Make Love” had us listening to Light My Fire by Shirley Bassey.

Stereomood.com is a novel concept, and certainly takes the work out of making a music decision, but you can put a far better system together for yourself, using your own music.

Simply create Playlists on your iPod using similar mood tags and assign your music to those Playlists.  Now you have your own portable mood-ready music.
